Those (and there MAY BE more than we might perceive) who are not complicit, who are not actively jockeying for the wealth, the perception of power, the "perks/bennies" (including indulging their bizarre inclinations/appetites) and proving themselves useful to their masters so they might secure a seat at the table when it's all over - who are either compromised and therefore manageable, or simply misguided and vulnerable (or psychopaths emeritus) are not fit "representatives" of the "people" in this illusion we call "government" and if they're truly genuinely "vexed" by the situation in which they find themselves -- cogs in the machine, they could do the right thing and lay down and die -- exposing the corruption and the collusion and the monstrously evil thing they are participating in as they do so (is there anyone that noble left - likely not or they wouldn't even attain that position and place). That includes those with titles and "offices" who are seen as the brokers of power but who, as you point out, are simply placeholders in the demise of civil society as we've been led to believe it could be.
The spiritual reality behind all of this (the evil one seeking to exalt his synthetic/faux/counterfeit kingdom above the One true living eternal God's by literally changing the nature and systems of every living thing (think synthetic biology, genetic modification, hybridization and the patenting of the "Homo Borg Genesis frankenstein they're working to complete for the human mesh network of nodes managed by AI through 6G, etc. as well as the modification of plants, animals, air, soil, water et al).
By commodifying and digitizing through tokenization and fractionalization they will in the economic realm, have the opportunity to confine all (now digital) assets (including humans, natural processes, the products of manufacture, the natural world, etc.) to a global blockchain -- the criminal syndicated gambling/casino for the entertainment of the ruling caste over the slave/serf caste in the emerging neo-feudal corporation (technocracy) -- and much the same in the other realms that support amassing, controlling and as deemed appropriate, sharing of assets, including what is deemed essential for some level of subsistence to be disseminated conditionally. Enslavement and forced cooperation, experimented with over centuries, is now through technology emerging in its most nefarious form, and all of the distractions and activities to entrain the masses and keep their focus and attention elsewhere while the final pieces of the long-planned "kingdom" are put into place dominate our lives in teh physical realm -- we are victorious already in the spiritual f we belong to Christ Jesus who has already dealt a final blow to those who are the rebels/infidels both in this realm and the spiritual one -- sentencing has been pronounced, and the elapsed time remaining is short before the culmination is realized -- and the final judgements completed, with the execution of sentences and the revised original paradise restored....Our focus and attention should be on Him who gave Himself for us, on fulfilling the purposes for which He made us, and for letting our every touch with the fallen world system be as light as possible -- recognizing that we are strangers, sojourners, passing through this temporal life bound for eternity and as we're doing so, exhibit and transmit the love, mercy, grace and compassion we've received -- that we might be light in darkness, that speaking the truth in love would ave its most profound impact -- changing lives, not political systems.... (apologies for the haste in which this was done).
Do we "need" a banking system - especially one based on debt? We got along for years bartering or establishing "local" means of value exchange (like the contemporary, now gaining popularity again "time banking" where we exchange labor for time that is in turn redeemable against other products/services offered by others in the "pool")....it was a hallmark of "governments" to institute the coin of the realm and then to begin using taxation, imposition of force, the passing of arbitrary rules and progressively more punitive forms of wealth confiscation -- the notion of "borrowing" to invest or build or to own something you can't otherwise afford -- I grew up saving money, sometimes putting things on "lay-a-away" -- a mystical holding place for things on the "wish list" that you paid for until they were paid in full......or "Christmas Club" where you disciplined and set aside money a little every month so you wouldn't been in colossal debt at the "holidays" for "gift giving," etc., (another created opportunity to get more money away from consumers). The only things we "get" from banking today (I'm a retired banking person of 43 years) is a standardized electronic payments system (since we now have national and international "creditor" to whom we must make "payments)," and a place to deposit our "value tokens" (that is turn is no longer ours, just a claim against it and digital entries on a ledger showing it's ours until the bank is insolvent and then seizes it to pay their own debts) -- and the illusion of safety and security -- so that if we were physically holding precious metals, for example, someone could break into our home and seize it (like the government did after the depression and the formation of the illegal Federal Reserve privately-owned system)..we'd be better off if we had trusted circles of family and friends with whom we could deal instead of impersonal institutions whose sole objective is profit and increasing that by 15% - 18% per anum, with the CEO's collecting 20 - 30 million per year for their fine speechery and show of numbers.
